As a Master Dog Trainer and Dog Behaviourist, I have cultivated extensive skills over my career, but it is passion that drives my work. I have over 30 years of experience working with dogs and their human counterparts, but I still remember how bonding with a dog in my youth influenced my journey more than anything else. When I first came to Ireland from the small town of Lourdes in southwestern France, my grandmother’s dog became my greatest friend in this new land.
From this, I learned how incredible these animals truly are. I realized that they are not only loyal companions, but they display amazing intelligence and capacity for empathy. This started me on the path of working with animals professionally. I have worked extensively training police dogs, search and rescue k-9s, personal protection dogs, service animals, and more. This specialised work helped me to cultivate strong skills while also learning what I wanted to do as a trainer.
Realising that my passion lies in strengthening the bond between man and dog, I started Clare Dog Training as a way to help owners connect with their pets in meaningful ways. I help my four-legged and two-legged clients to learn the basics and to overcome behavioural challenges building a winning relationship for both dog and owner.
I’m a proud member of the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training (CIDBT) and a lifelong animal lover. With my experience and passion for my work, I remain eager to meet new clients and see what great things tomorrow holds for pets and owners alike.
